A new version of our CMS and overall code was updated throughout to make this a better user experience, modern technology, and updated security patches.
New Features:
- A new dashboard module has been developed for the CMS, with enhanced functionality and an improved user interface, making it more user-friendly. It also includes useful links to our new Help Centre.
- The eStore development team has completed the new Level 3 Kitchen Range Search feature, allowing users to search for ranges and units.
- A new SMTP email feature has been implemented by the eStore development team to improve spam email issues. This feature uses enhanced security checks and smart filters to ensure emails are delivered properly and safely.
- The SMTP test button is now available in CMS > eCommerce > Global Settings > Email Settings for users to verify setup and ensure secure email delivery.
- We've introduced a new comparison feature that allows users to add up to five products for side-by-side evaluation before making a purchase.
Payment Gateway:
- Opayo Payment Gateway has implemented an update effective March 31st, 2024, removing all previous API URLs. We've already made these adjustments to our live websites, ensuring everything is secure. Extensive testing over weeks confirms the smooth functionality of these changes.
Changes
- Our biggest change is the PHP code from 5.6 to 7.4 has been upgraded and tested throughout the system. Our objective for the future is to update this to PHP 8+ for the eStore application.
Fixes:
- Fixed some of the missing icons in the CMS content management admin section.
- Symbols, like the pound symbol (£), were not appearing in product descriptions.
- The issue with white spaces in the text formatting when entering a range name in the Showcase module has been fixed.
- Some security concerns identified by the Pen testers have been addressed to ensure PCI compliance.
- The issue with the FAQ module causing a blank page when saving new items has been fixed.
- The CMS bug with duplicating product templates was fixed.
- Edit 'Quotations' button wasn`t working was fixed.
- The wishlist underwent a complete overhaul and was thoroughly fixed. Now, it displays dates and is more user-friendly.
- The issue with the Live Site Behind Password section has been resolved. It now functions properly on all browsers.
