Departments are an additional level of navigation used on the site, it’s not always the case that your site has Departments set-up, but your web-designer will advise if you have.
The main aspects of a department are to apply individual Brands to them, this give you greater control over what products are displayed on the departmental landing pages of the site.
Example 1 - Department can be created for Kitchens, Bedrooms or Bathrooms.
This page only shows selected brand & products assigned to the Kitchens section.
Example 2 - Department can be created for Taps, Showers, Heating etc.
This page only shows selected brand & products assigned to the Baths section.
- Click the eStore Setup button on the main EQ toolbar:
- Click on the top eStore menu and select Departments:

The following screen will appear:

To create a new Department, click +Add and give the Department a name. Then with the Department name highlight on the right, tick the relevant Brands on the right.

When you have applied all the relevant Brands to the Department, select Update and export your Web Settings and a single catalogue to the site.
